History

MATRIX arthroplasty is the most comprehensive digital form for performing knee or hip replacement worldwide, based entirely on Artificial Intelligence (A.I) and is used in our country exclusively by Dr. Stavros Alevrogiannis and his colleagues at the Robotic Knee & Hip Surgery Dept, at METROPOLITAN GENERAL clinic, in Athens/Greece.

After completing clinical and imaging examination, patient is checked if he is suitable for this MATRIX technique. Digital modelization and appropriate prosthetic material type selection on a 3D digital level is performed. The prepared 3D material is presented and analyzed to the patient through smart glasses and virtual reality .  Then the appropriate surgical technique and the corresponding digital system that will be used during the surgery, adapted to the individual anatomy, specific needs and requirements of each individual patient is selected by the surgeon, with the aim of an excellent clinical and functional result.
